Fryderyk Biehler
Fryderyk, known to everyone as Fred, discovered his passion for contemporary circus relatively late, at the age of 19. He gained his first stage experience with the young ensemble of Circus Schatzinsel and soon decided to take the path towards professionalism. After two years of professional training at a circus school with a focus on partner acrobatics, he now works in various projects as an artist and trainer.
Jasper Barckhausen
Jasper is self-employed in the field of performing and visual arts and studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin at the Institute of Historical Sciences. He gained his first stage experience in his youth in various theater productions at the Murkelbühne Berlin. Through visual arts he also discovered Circus Schatzinsel and has been a member of the young ensemble there for several years. Since 2020 he can also be seen in a multigenerational project . In 2018, he was involved in an art project in Guinea-Bissau to produce giant marionettes that were used as performative tool for peaceful protests. As a founding member of the artist collective Planet Trash, his enthusiasm lies in the staging of trash in combination with theatrical and artistic elements.
Paula Dieken
Paula found her way into the circus as a child and has remained loyal to it from there on. Over the years, her enthusiasm for the creative and physical work grew and she appeared on stage in various productions of Circus Schatzinsel. Besides her commitment to the work on stage, she also works as an acrobatics trainer and studies civil engineering.
Christin Elchlepp
Christin discovered her passion for acrobatic movement as a child when she did competitive gymnastics. The competitive environment made her lose her desire after only a few years. However, a longing for physical expression remained and was found again at the age of 17 at Circus Schatzinsel. Since then she has been telling stories on stage in many productions of the Schatzinsel, has been involved in various projects, was co-founder of the children's theater project Plexus and has now been active for over 10 years as a trainer, mainly for acrobatics and trapeze. She has also performed in external productions, including the René Pollesch play "Kill your Darlings" at Volksbühne. Her work in the circus furthermore shaped her studies in social pedagogy, which resulted in a master's thesis on the significance of international encounters through circus arts from the perspective of the participants, which was awarded the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Innovation Prize.
Çiğdem Gerwert
Çiğdem has spent much of her free time at Circus Schatzinsel since she was 10 years old. Through her participation in the children's theater Plexus her passion for contemporary circus grew. She also took part in several productions of the young ensemble and gained various stage experiences there. When Çiğdem is not in the circus, she works part-time as a social worker in the field of migration.
Edgar Kenneweg
Edgar's connection to circus developed in weekly diabolo trainings at Circus Schatzinsel since 2012. Over time, his enthusiasm grew and he soon also focused on other disciplines such as juggling, tap dancing and acrobatics. Building on this, he took up studies in movement education and dance in social work. In addition to his work for the stage, he uses his now completed studies as a trainer in the Circus Schatzinsel as well as a social worker at an elementary school.
Gregor Kenneweg
Gregor started out in the circus juggling diabolos and balls, but has also become enthusiastic about acrobatics and dance. After gaining a lot of important experience in the children's and youth circus, he has now decided to also use his creativity and joy to apply to various circus, dance and art schools
Melina Küchler
Melina has been training with Circus Schatzinsel since 2007 and was able to gain various stage experiences in many productions of the children's and youth circus, where her enthusiasm for contemporary circus and dance was sparked. In order to carry this passion into the world, she began her studies in movement pedagogy, dance and social work in 2020. While doing so, she always finds her way back to the stage.
Josefin Streeck
Josefin started to fall in love with carrying other people on one side and flying on the trapeze on the other side in Circus Zack and later in Circus Schatzinsel. When at some point the flyers grew taller than her, she still didn't mind, so that today she also carries people on her shoulders who are much taller than her. In this way, art strayed into her life, which was otherwise dominated by natural sciences. Meanwhile, she studies chemistry in Berlin.
Carla Wang
Carla started training regularly at Circus Schatzinsel when she was 7 years old and has stuck ever since. First she explored the stage with the walking globe and in silks, later she became part of the young ensemble of Circus Schatzinsel and also started acrobatics and physical theater there. Here she found a great piece of joy in life. In the meantime she has completed an advanced training in dance. She can be seen on different stages, performing both in circus and dance.

Martina is an Italian dancer passionate about performance art who has always worked in her country and abroad, not just as a performer, but as a choreographer and teacher aswell. Her passion and her real strength are the combination between the arts that push her into a research guided by the curiosity to mix various languages of movement.
